After Alexander McQueen’s untimely death many thought this highly creative and grounbreaking design house would not survive. However, Sarah Burton, formerly McQueen’s personal assistant, was appointed as creative director. Riding high on the wave of designing the dress for Kate Middleton, the new Duchess of Cambridge, Burton created an awesome Spring/Summer line.  It whispered the essence of Alex and shouted the return of bold design elements, familiar to the design house.
