CASA Nashville 14th Annual Red Shoe Party mixes fun with a focus!

I had the honor of being invited to the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Nashville 14th annual Red Shoe Party at the Pinnacle Building in downtown Nashville. Why the theme of Red Shoes? Like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, no matter what you go through, "There's no place like home." The volunteers that work with CASA help young people as they navigate through the maze of the the judicial system. The work done often allows youth to find permanent homes after coming from abusive situations.

The event was an auction coupled with a sit-down dinner and live entertainment. Guests were allowed to bid on more than 100 auction items from jewelry to wine and one-of-a-kind adventure experiences. In addition, guests were allowed to donate money to aid in CASA's services to youth. It was a real bidding war as friends and colleagues tried to outbid each other all for a worthy cause.

The venue looked amazing decked out with twinkle lights delicately strung across the ceiling while cocktail tables and siting areas decorated the event space. An air of happiness was present as people networked and munched on appetizers provided by Bacon & Caviar Catering.

But of course, the big draw of the night was seeing how everyone dressed for the night's theme, RED SHOES. Men and women put their best foot forward while rocking cool red shoes, pumps, sneakers and sandals. Check out some of my favorite looks of the night:

There were so many creative wardrobe creations that my camera couldn't click fast enough. Of course, special thanks to all the people who graciously posed for these impromptu photos. More photos are posted on Nashville Fashion Events.
