Outfit of the Week: What to wear to a Hip-Hop concert

There's a big hip-hop show going on tonight Kid Electric Concerts presents a Tribute to Bad Boy. Bad Boy Records became the standard of hip-hop during the 90's. Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy aka Puffy aka P. Diddy aka Diddy built an empire on the shoulders of upcoming and unknown rappers, singers, musicians, and producers. Under Diddy's guidance, us 90's kids looked at the opulence of their videos and thought it was the PLATINUM standard. Remember Biggie, Lil Kim, Total, Mary J. Blige, Faith and Carl Thomas?! AHH, memories!

Tonight's concert will benefit the Notes for Notes Charity that give instruments to youth who want to enter the music business. Such a great charity! Make sure you are in the place. The performers and band (yes a LIVE BAND) will perform some of Bad Boy's best hits. Of course, what to wear?

Hip-Hop Hotness

When you are going to a hip-hop concert or festival, the key to your fly-ness is comfort and flash! If you aren't a VIP or a rapper's girlfriend, theres NO NEED to wear heels to an event like this. This is all about trendy goodness! There are a gang of independent designers who produce awesome hip-hop themed t-shirts. The one in this set is from Bobby Fresh and features The Notorious BIG. Then add some vintage/thrifted/refurbished cut-offs, and all the flashy elements: Versace necklace (or knock-off), YSL Sunnies, and cute wedge sneakers. You'll be cool, cute, and FAB!
