Being a fashion blogger, I tend to read other blogs to get stories and style inspiration. One of my favorite bloggers, Alicia of www.innyvinny.com, is an expert on minimal yet intentional dressing. Even with having a high energy two-year old, she stays looking ultra fresh. I so love her style, and have been thinking about replicating a minimal type style for my plus-size sensibilities. This fall, I'm working to scale down my wardrobe and make my looks more intentional.
So, I pulled together this look to inspire me. When attempting to wear a monochromatic color scheme for an entire season you gotta work on TEXTURE and design elements. Afterwhile, people may get tired of you rocking black, white, or grey all the time - so mixing in different fabrics, cuts, and shapes give your look an interesting and inspired take.
In this set, the great jacket, AWESOME Circle Bag by Comme des Garçons(like seriously, how fly is this bag?), Gucci booties, and leather jeans by Alexander Wang. Everything in this set gives a simple black look an interesting twist.
I'll make sure to post some of my personal fall looks on the site. Doing a minimal look on a plus-size body shouldn't be too hard. Finding quality pieces is gonna be fun!
