FALL STYLE: Mixed pattern perfection

Shirt & Belt - Target, Skirt - Torrid, Tights - Avenue, Boots - Torrid, Photography - Toni Denisa

I literally don't have words for the fab-ness of this week's Fall Style shoot. It's all about patterns and I'm all about stepping out the box this season and this was a big step for a girl like me. See, I'm all for dressing others in trendy ways, but myself, I'm pretty classic and minmal. But I had this leopard print skirt in my closet since last spring - I knew I needed to wear it.

Mixing prints is a science. My tip - - go for patterns that have similar back ground colors, then keep your accessories basic. With the animal print skirt having black in it, I thought this striped turtlneck would pair well. And it did! This turned out to be one of my favorite looks of the shoot.

And can we talk about this location! Tucked away in Berry Hill, TN (a suburb of Nashville) this artist community has a ton of abstract and music influence murals. I'll definitely shoot here again.

Oh yeah, can I tell you about Avenue's plus-size tights! Listen! These are the best tights this season! The basic colors are very opaque and the control top really give you support - no need for Spanx. If you have large thighs, get on these tights - buy as many as you can afford!
