Well, hello November! November is the perfect time to bring out the plaid. We are coming up on the holiday season, and what's more holiday than plaid. Especially the type of plaid that combines red and blue.
When I saw this dress at Forever 21 I got immediately excited! I am a plaid aficionado so I knew it had to come home with me. Plus, the dress costs $14! I mean - even if it disintegrated in the washer, it was still a bargain. And, it's a body-con with a cut-out back. I didn't showcase the back, but I may transition this dress into the spring and debut the sexy back.
As always, I'm a bargain shopper so all my accessories were reasonable. This whole looks was less than $150.
The bag is old, but it's my fave, from Target. I've had this bag for about four years and I know it coast less than $30. In addition, you know I'm in love with the basic tights from Avenue. Being six feet tall and having big thighs, it's hard to find reasonably priced tights that actually fit. Currently, Avenue's tights are 2 for $20 so if you are thick-thighed like myself, you need to be about purchasing all the tights.
Ok can we talk about this cute belt! I got it from Torrid, it came in a 3-pack for $14! Right!!??! It's just that little ladylike detail that takes this dress from basic to business. Lastly, the shoes are from Payless. If you have large feet like myself, it can be a bit annoying and expensive. However, Payless can have some hidden gems in the mix. Give them a look.
So, I hope this look inspires you to add a bit of plaid to your look for the fall/holiday season.
