Last week I had the pleasure of tasting the most amazing holiday desserts at the 12 & Broad event, 'Season's Treatings'. If you didn't know, 12 & Broad is a wonderful situation that's one part magazine, one part culture showcase. The folks at 12 & Broad specialize in bringing the best of independent/local arts & culture to readers. Every month they cultivate an amazing activity that introduces guest to what best about Nashville's local and indie scent. This month, in the spirit of the holidays, 12 & Broad hosted a sort of . . . indie Taste of Nashville, and it was AMAZING!

The event took place at Acme Feed & Seed downtown. Acme is a restaurant and event space that offers awesome food and a great locale. Season's Treatings was held on the third floor. 12th & Broad enlisted 12 restaurants to give guests a delicious dessert adventure. In addition, each restaurant competed in a food competition using local items.
Oh my! These desserts were AMAZING! Seriously, I was so happy to try foods from restaurants that I often pass by or think, "Hmm, not my style." After this night, I'll definitely stop by these restaurants to try the complete menus!
My favorite dessert of the night? This Pear and Fig tart nestled in a shortbread crust, topped with butternut squash ice cream! Y'all! HEAVEN on a platter! The lovely chef at Mason's Nashville created this lovely dessert - I love her in a special way! I'm definitely paying Mason's a visit.
Make sure to join 12 & Broad's membership program to get access to more cool events like Season's Treatings. It's an awesome publication and events club that will open your eyes to some of nashville's finest events and tastemakers.
