FASHION FRIDAY: Zuhair Murad, Spring 2015

Ciara rocked the Essence Women in Music red carpet in this gorgeous Zuhair Murad lace embellished wrap gown. The new mom and sultry singer is gearing up for her return to the music industry after having her cute son. As I saw pictures of this fab dress hit my instagram feed, I knew I needed to feature Zuhair's designs for Fashion Friday this week. Let's get into it:

Variations on a seductress theme shaped Zuhair Murad's Spring collection. In his showroom just off the Avenue Montaigne, the designer talked about his elegant gitane (French for "gypsy") inspiration. He explored florals with fresh allure via dégradé prints, peasant-style blouses, flower embellishments, ponchos, and billowy skirts. - Amy Verner, Style.com

Yup, it's pretty evident that Murad's Spring 2015 line is influenced by the dreamy lifestyle of an old school gypsy. The seemingly unbothered lace paired with gorgeous lengths is a good look for runway cuties. Initially, I wasn't really feeling the line - only because it's not my style. I'm more of a minimal type of girl. But, I can't deny the gorgeous details and gracious technique used to create this Spring line.

The Zuhair Murad woman is about elegance, even in the day time. Which is why his looks can be worn on the red carpet and on an afternoon with friends. Murad did something he doesn't usually do, creat midi-length dresses and skirts. This shows that even the most sophisticated designers can follow trends and create them. We know midi-skirts are in for spring/summer, so Murad's got you covered.

Take a look at some of the looks that caught my eye from this collection. Which would you rock? Let me know in the comments section.
