Nashville Fashion Week 2015: What I wore

Whew! Nashville Fashion Week has come and gone. At the five year mark, NFW really changed the game. As a blogger, I changed the way I approached fashion week as well. This is the first time I attended all five days of the event. I was excited and but I got tired. This week, I'll spotlight what I wore, what I saw, and my favorite moments from NFW 2015.

Today, let's talk about what I wore. If you follow me on instagram, I tried to give you shopping tips on everything I wore this week. Some items I've had for years, some items I bought specifically for the week. Below I'll supply shopping links to my look (or something similar) in hopes of inspiring you to look FAB as well. Let's get started!

Dress: ASOS Curve, Clutch: Vintage, Shoes: Torrid, Necklace: Icing
I'm not saying I buy ALL my clothes from ASOS.com, but a majority of my favorites come from ASOS. Ok, maybe ASOS is my favorite store . . . you don't know my life! LOL! Anyway, let's start with the last day of the week and go backward. I wore this dress to the NFW closing party. It's from ASOS; a funnel neck body-con dress with a keyhole back. I can never get a photo of the back because I hate doing back shots. LOL!

On day 4 of Nashville Fashion Week, the show was held outside at the Bicentennial Mall near downtown Nashville. I decided to go for a garden party look with this graphic print body-con dress from ASOS. I actually purchased this dress two years ago, so it's no longer available. However the shoes, bag, and jacket are new (links above). Even though it was super-cold, this look was fun to wear.

Day 3 of Nashville Fashion Week was different and exciting. The event found itself at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams furniture store.  The store was decorated with the art of Herb Williams (we'll talk about that tomorrow). I thought to keep it simple by rocking one of my favorite summer looks. This cotton draped shirt and body con skirt are super comfy and stylish. I was weary about repeating a look, but since it's one of my faves, my confidence kicked in and allowed me to have a great time.

The second day of fashion week was tres chic! We dined on fashion at the Cordelle. This look got the second most likes on Instagram. This top, that's usually sold as a dress worked well on my 6'0" frame. I paired it with my favorite black leggings from Torrid and had a look. I'll definitely wear this outfit again. I felt extra chic! Oh yeah, I purchased this too from Nashville's ONLY plus-size boutique, Styles Boutique. They have an online store as well - www.stylesboutique.bigcartel.com. Check them out.

On the first official day of Nashville Fashion Week, I wore one of my favorite looks of the week. The first day was a runway show at Acme Feed & Seed. There were a lot people in the building, I wanted to make a big impact. Lately, I've been in love with a sort of minimalist aesthetic. So wearing one or two items that make a big impact is the key to my style. This dress does just that - it's large graphic print and slouchy shape were quite on fashion. I got tons of compliments.

I think everyone's favorite look I wore this week. The Blogger Girls event was positioned to be the unofficial start to the week. I'll be posting about our event this week too. This dress was one I had in the closet too! I actually wore it to a fashion event last year, but not many remember it. I rocked it again, and got rave reviews.

This week, I tried not to spend too much money on clothes, but made strides to Rick looks that leave an impact. Don't ever worry abt repeating looks, as long as you have confidence, no one will know the difference.
